Concerts, Stupid Voices, and Road Trips

I'm back. Again. Because I keep going for long periods of time without writing. I feel bad. ): Anyhoo, so the concert is tonight. Guess what? I lost my voice. Pretty much. I can still sing low, but I'm mad at my stupid throat. Of course I'd get sick NOW. Anyways, but I'm still excited. I'm also SUPER-UBER-DUPER- excited for our road trip to see family for Christmas. YAYYYYY!!!! So, that's about it.................tootles.

Return, Music, Dresses and Random Questions

I'm back!!! After being away for soooo long. Which I feel terrible about. ): But now I'm back! I just said that. Anyhoos, so I am very excited. Because the chorus concert is coming up in two weeks. I think. The 14th. So however many weeks. Today we had our first rehearsal without music. Which made everyone feel self-conscious. But, on the BRIGHT side of things, I finded a dress. Yeah I know it's "found" but who cares? And those people who do care can get over themselves. Anyvays, as I was saying, I found a dress. It's black, with a scoop neck and straps. It's sort of tiered, so the fabric is layered, so when I spin around it all swirls and looks all pretty. And we got a white scarf to go with it at the concert and a red scarf to wear at Christmas. To make it more Christmasy. Because black isn't the most festive of colors. Which makes me wonder why I write in black. Hmmmm. I'll have to think about that. Let's see. OH! Thanksgiving break ended yesterday. ): Oh vell. All good things must come to an end. Why? Because. They just do. Actually there is a good answer but I don't feel like telling you. Because you already know. Probably. But I don't know. I'm confusing myself. As usual. Ok. I'm gonna go now. Tootles!

I Redisgned My Blog

Hey everyone. I just re-did the design for my blog. So now it is all panda bears. Yay!

Singing, Fog and Sleep

So I'm back. As you probably noticed. Since I'm writing. Anyhoo so we had chorus rehearsal today, which was funnnn. But I'm sooo frustrated because I need a black dress for the chorus concert in December, but all the black dresses I can find are wicked short. Like, ridiculously short. GRRRRRRRRRRRR. But besides that, I'm happy. I'm going off tomorrow. Yay!! It's so foggy right now, it's ridiculous. And I am on my Thanksgiving break, so I get to sleep. A lot. Which makes me happy. Au revoir.

School, School, and Vacation

I'm back! After all weekend without writing. So on Saturday I did nothing. Nothing meaning I stayed in bed all day. Literally. I only got out of bed once to get lunch. I stayed in bed all day long eating crackers, reading, and watching shows. Because it was freeeeeeeeeeeeeezing cold. And I wasn't in the mood to get up. Then on Sunday I went to church, then went to strike with my brother. Strike as in, they were taking down the set from the play they just did. And finished. They being the high school students at my brother's high school who did the musical this season. Anyways, we went to help with that. We were taking an inventory of girl's dance shoes. And we had to label them. Then I went home, and spent the rest of the evening after dinner looking online for a duffle bag. You would not believe how hard it is. Seriously. It is hard. Anyhoo, now I'm sitting in school waiting for the lunch period to end. I'm inside instead of outside because it is raining. Hard. It's been raining a lot lately. In case you didn't notice, I italicize a lot. I can't wait for Wednesday because that's our first day of Thanksgiving break. YAY! Tootles.

I am amazing. Officially.

I'm back! So today in gym class we did archery. And I was all nervous, because I have never even held a bow in my whole entire life, let alone shoot one. Anyhoo, so we went down to the neighbor's house (we had a guest teacher who bow hunts to show us how to shoot) and the targets were all set up and ready to go, right? Anyways, so he was telling us how to hold the bow, what draw weight means, what "knocking" means, (I was actually kind of surprised when I knew what the heck he was talking about, I guess it's because my older brother knows all these things) how he uses a tree stand and he showed us his safety harness he uses when he uses the tree stand (I'm pretty sure it's called a tree stand. But I may be wrong.) Then he was telling us all these cool stories about his hunting experiences. Finally we were ready to shoot. Well, everybody else was. Not me. I have this little issue with sports. I'm good at hurting things. Mainly those things are me. I'm not a very athletic person. Well, I can ride horses without killing anything. And I can ice skate. Sort of. I can go without falling, but not really fast. Yet. But anyways, moving on, everybody else had experience with bows. As in, they've all shot bows. A lot. Like, one girl even owns her own bow. So I was all, "I'm gonna die." And then we were knocking our arrows (basically putting the arrow on the string) and the tip of my arrow kept falling of the front of the bow, and I was practically shaking I was so nervous, the he told us to shoot, and for some odd reason I like, couldn't let go. My hand wouldn't let go of the string. I finally got it. Guess where the arrow went? Yeah. The ground. So the next time the same thing happened. By now you're probably guessing why this post title says I feel amazing. Wait for it. Drum roll please. On the third try. I. Hit. The. Target. I'm serious! And yeah, on the fourth, fifth and sixth tries I didn't, but I was really close on all of them. On the fourth one, the arrow skimmed the top. But on the third one, when I actually hit the target, I was standing there all calmly, because I was all "Obviously I'm not gonna hit it," then I saw my arrow in the target, and I started like, screaming. I was all "OH MY GOSH! I HIT IT!!!!" And I was jumping up and down, you'd think I won the Olympics or something. So yeah. Now I like, want to go shoot stuff. It's addicting. Really addicting. Really addicting. I want a bow. Really bad. Anyhoo, yeah. That was my awesome afternoon. I shot my first bow. And I got a target. YAY ME! I'm just a little excited. Tootles!

Cozy, Dark and a Poem

Well here I is again. So, it stopped raining. ): Sadly. But it's nice and dark out, which makes it all cozy, listening to the clock ticking (I just love that sound) Dinner's over, so everyone is settled down and it's all quiet. So I decided to put in a poem I wrote.

Whisper

A voice,

Speaking hushed,

Softly,

Piercing the dark,

Reaching ears

That await the sound

Of a voice,

Speaking hushed
Sooooooo that's my poem. Hope you like it. Um yeah I not be the most talented of poets, but oh well. Oh my goodness gracious me! I don't know I just felt like saying that. For some odd reason. So, I has got to leave, but I vill be back tomorrow! Au revoir mes amis!

Lunch, Blogging and Rain

It's raining. Really hard. Like, really hard. It's that wet, cozy, pouring rain weather that I absolutely love. We're sitting in school while we wait for our lunch period to end. You can imagine how fun that is. So I'm blogging. Obviously. And everybody else is doing I have no idea what. Well yeah I'm just having a super doober time. No really. And everybody else is arguing. Not seriously. And I'm just laughing my head off. Because I am just that special. La di da di da. Soooooooooooo yeah. That's it for now. Tootles.

Sopranos, Altos and Winter

Well, I have to say I am very excited. This blog is a little peep into my world, so what I do, things I'm excited about, etc etc. Sooooooooooooooooooo today was the first day of chorus, which I am very excited about. Except I was with the altos, but then I couldn't sing very well because those altos sing so looowwwww. So I'm moving to the sopranos next week. Yay! I'm enjoying the rainy weather that returned. Sitting inside my kitchen where it's all cozy and warm. This is my favorite time of year, this in-between autumn and winter. Oooooooh I just love it. I love how it gets dark so early in the evening, it gives such a cozy feeling. I also love rainy days that come with this time of year, the clouds, and the marshmallows that go into cocoa. I love walking my dog in the crisp air. (He likes it too!) I can just feel winter coming. Can't you?
☺☺☺
I'm very excited about our mapping project that we are doing in Social Studies. We are making a map of our island, which will be 3-D (awesome I know!). I'm also really excited about January. Even though that's two months away. Which is a long time. A really long time. A really long time. Anyway, in January, we get to go on the Middle School Retreat. Which is where the middle schoolers from Islesford, Monhegan, Matinicus, and sometimes Cliff Island, all get together in some cool place, and hang out for a weekend. So part of Friday and Saturday. Yeah I know it's not for two months, but I'm the kind of person who gets excited early. Like, really early. Anyhoo, that's all for now. Bye!
